Mini stump grinders

Had a couple of through the house jobs lately where we haven't been able to get our dan equip grinder in so was wondering if anyone has experience of these http://www.alpinemagnum.com/ or similar .

I've not been able to have a proper look on the laptop yet but from memory they had a kind of disk to do the cutting and was worried we'd smash the grannie out of it going through the rubble and general poo you get buried in towns and suburbia.

Thanks

Don't get one, your be forever swapping it over from saw to stumpy. Also, the fuel

Mixture is a sod, 33/1 or something similar.

We'll probably get a dedicated power unit, why does it need a different mix ?

The alpine is a good machine, does rely on keeping the teeth really sharp, they dont like grinding through stones etc. Well worth cleaning around the stump as much as possible rather than just burying the cutting head in the ground.

You can either run the Husky 3120 power head, or the Stihl TS disc cutter power head, most people seem to opt for the Husky.

Any idea what they're like to re sharpen and hiw often the cutters need replacing?

I know it depends on how bad you smash them up but with normal soil conditions do they last ?
