Looks just the job, maybe get ready with a cover for the end of summer.

However, while it's dry you really do need to have a look at the felt on that shed roof.:001_rolleyes:

27 cu m. I use half the store a year so seasons for 2 years which it needs even though off the ground to increase air flow.

Last year was 100% beech and I didn't use it all. Next year lime and horse chestnut so I'll need every last log.

Built from reclaimed timber from a barn a pal was taking down.

I'm showing that log store to the missus, she moans at me for what I've got :-( fair point on the felt roof, lol. I've just discovered a little wood boring beetle on my stack as well about 2/3mm with an orange/brown colour action and a shiny head. Also seems to be laying little shiny black eggs( or these may be different beetles) any ideas on what they are and what you can do about them???

Starting to build a permanent log store shortly, but that lot will stay where they are.

Most of my firewood used to end up in a ramshackle heap at the bottom of the garden and last year I found the time to knock up my wood store. Picture is from before winter, a little fuller now with this years stock and pallets underneath too.
