another new stump grinder project

finally managed to get a bit of time to start the new stump grinder project got the engine from a road tow compressor deutz 2 cyl diesel started making the shaft and the front frame its also getting mounted on our wee tracked arb truck

Sounds good . Did you think about using a multi tip wheel at all ? Looking forward to more pics :biggrin:

 

did think about multi tip but the guy that sells them over here was quite slow/forgot sizes and i also spoke to the fella that was selling one on ebay for a 28hp predator and he was selling it because greenteeth work out cheaper. also i can machine the holes for the pockets really easy and the profile for the wheel works out about £35 and greenteeth are £209 = £244 green wheel was going to be £350+vat+del and it would still need tweaked to match shaft sizes

the tracks were the same that i still use for our other grinder from a honda power barrow that had been converted to a drill rig:thumbup:
