Out of interest what would the butt be worth? Thank u

A lot less than people think. Yews are very prone to shake, and upon milling it may turn out to be worth hardly anything.

Really sick of all this to be honest the tree still stands as far as I am aware unless someone else has felled it not ( benchmark ) . I have actually done my best to save the tree as I would not like to see it felled and have spoken to the tree officer again today about the whole thing we have done nothing wrong as a company . The only thing I did was advertise the wood for sale not for personal gain just to help out anouther arb talker and client I did make it known that we did not have the job to the people who are interested through pm .

Hita mate, you have done no wrong, just tried to save the tree, that's all one can do. If the client wants it gone, then that's what will happen unless the LA decides different, I for one take my hat off to you for your efforts.:thumbup1:

Totally understand your frustration, I was getting frustrated on your behalf reading the various opinions posted! Yes it's a shame that an old beaut is possibly going to be felled but like you state, you haven't done anything other than make people aware of the potential timber arising from the tree fell. Don't let it get to you mate.

Pete
