We are looking for a or some chainsaw carvers for our show on the 26th & 27th of July. We would welcome anyone that can come along and entertain some of the visitors and offer you a free stand for your services.

Or if anyone fancies arranging a comp for a few carvers you are more than welcome. And I'll come up with a prize.

I guess a certification and public liability insurance is needed? I did my 1st show Sunday just gone but hand chiselled pre chain sawn owl blanks.

Hi

If you have some public liability and what a free stand, give me a buzz.

Nolfkngood. Got my public liability from Craft insurance Ian Wallace ltd.

I think is around £80 for the year or you can pay monthly.

You need to have nptc cs30, 31 for insurance.

Oh well you looking at a few hundred to get on a 3-5 day course if you click on kingswood training on the link above on jonesies post they actually by the looks of it do just a cs30 which is probably all you'd need.

I did my 30/31 with Phil Dunford in N. Wales. The time it takes to do the course depends on how much you know already and how many bad habits you have :)

I did the training in 1 day (fairly long day but great day) and the assessment the next day. Cant remember the price but not excessive and its well worth it even if just learning to sharpen chains properly.
