Hi guys

Need a bit of help, I gave my saw to a mate to use on a job.

He managed to cut a stump and in doing do the casing, bar and chain came off and the chain oil has leaked out of a whole on the saw under the bar. I think a part is missing but can't put my finger on it.

Can someone take a photo of there's under the bad and casings please.

Cheers

James

Yep . Had that happen a long time ago . was chogging down a stump with a 372XP and the chain caught a flint embedded in the stump and threw it strait through the front of the oil tank . Punched a hole about the size of a 10p piece .

Apparently it wasn't him....
Let me get this straight - you loaned a saw to a friend, who then loaned it to a third person, who broke it. I can't see the problem.

Second you make it a point never to lend it to that friend, as you don't know who he's then going lend it to.

But more importantly and firstly.

Your 'friend' comes back to you and says, "Look, there's been a problem." He explains what happened but says, "I'll sort it. I take it to the shop, get it repaired & retrieve it from the shop when it's fixed. I'll pay for the lot. Oh, and here's a saw until all's good. Just so you don't lose out.

Its that old " ideal world " again !
