Big Rope

Have been searching now for a while for some larger diameter climbing rope..

I often climb in cold weather and rain, and often work with numb hands and fingers..

I was thinking that a larger diameter rope for cold/wet weather would be good for work, but so far I have been unable to find any arb rope above 13mm

Are there any companies that supply or make larger diameter rope? I know the trend these days is to go for a smaller diameter, but I prefer something I can grab ahold of easily.

Either that or i'm just being a woosie.

These showa gloves are very thin yet long lasting the rubber coating wears well and doesn't peel off and get stuck in your hitch.

These are supposed to be good to, a little thicker and warmer, not tried them myself though.http://www.protecdirect.co.uk/Builders-Grip-Gloves/Showa-350R-Nitrile-Grip-Glove.htm

I get similar gloves but only pay £4 for 5 pairs a man at the car boot.

Not all gloves are equal, I hate the ones that fall apart and get stuck in the hitch:mad1:

The assembly grip gloves can last ages, upto 2 weeks climbing you can even take them home and wash them, so are worth the extra.
