Might be looking for a unimog whats the best for tree work plus towing a 12ton timber trailer,the u1700 looks a good setup to me what do you guys think? wheres the best place to get one?Atkinson Vos?

We use a U1300 with a HIAB to pull a 10 tonne trailer and it seems pretty good. We also use a U1250 with at TP200 and a superwinch 6300kg straight line pull as a chip and winch truck. What attracted you to the U1700?

I don't like u1500s or u1700's they are just squat ugly, not big enough to be worth the hassle with their width.

U1650 is the daddy for everything, then a u1600. If you want a big tower then jump tothe u2150 plus.

Cracking u1600 on EBay just now, no rear linkage though!
