Starter Kit

Hi,

After my final exam on Wednesday I am finished going to school and in September I am going to Pershore college. And so I want to either buy a complete climbing kit, that OR a new full Hd TV. The TV is around £300 and the Kit, around, £400. I am leaning towards the climbing kit, but i'm not completely sure about it!

And so my question is it worth me buying my own kit, will it be used in college and will it be any benefit? Will I be able to use it if i get a job as i know that I won't climb in a job for a long time so new equipment will have to be bought! But then when the time comes I should, should, be good at climbing and so be more inclined to be allowed to climb!

And so: Should I buy the kit or go for the safer option and buy something else - or nothing at all!

Thanks

Jack

Buy the TV.

You probably won't be allowed to use your own climbing gear at college and in any case, you may accidentally buy the wrong stuff because you don't have any experience yet.

Do your thing at college then buy gear when you know what you want.

By the way, did college folk tell you this is a growth industry and there's lots of jobs? Pah!

PS: if you get the TV you can watch porn. A rope and harness isn't very exciting really.
