Finger teeth versus Green teeth.

From a suppliers perspective we sell both, the finger teeth are approx £2.12 & the GENUINE greenteeth are £7.00ea for a grinder of your size. Our sales of finger teeth have dropped dramatically whilst the Greenteeth have increased tenfold.

98% of all new machines sold are ordered with Greenteeth now. Last longer, 3 turns & easier to swap.

Understood, and if,and when! I get a new machine I'll get the new teeth, but it's doesn't seem worth changing them on an existing machine. For me anyway.

I would have to buy new pockets as well wouldn't I ?

we tried reducing the amount of pairs of teeth from 6 pairs down to four so it goes now 2 straights then a pair of left and rights then gap and the back to 2 straights then left right then gap but the 2 straights are sitting 5mm further out and this made a difference the engine doesnt lug down as much and it also cuts quicker

if we are talking about finger teeth I stopped using the straights years ago.

Never really noticed any difference,

Good tip though.
