Help please to ID this..

im not trying to balg the job or anything like that, just more concerned that there might be a potential failure possible as these people have a small family.

 

there is some dieback in the crown, oozing at about 20ft.

The base has had some concrete or something on it so compaction is probably an issue? The base doesnt have shigos curves on it, more bottle shaped.

I reckon you need a professional to look at that.......on a serious note a little more information may be needed like have you climbed the tree yet to see how deep that old wound cavity is? It could be a water pocket overflowing - but how did the water get in? A little more investigation and you may find that you resolve this without us all guessing at what is happening?

From photos it looks to be heavily weighted towards fields(low risk).I would imagine future monitoring assuming the client is happy,may be the way to go,there is a real risk involved but should the tree fail what might it hit,don't sit under it for picnic on a windy day etc.Only going from photos,might be misleading of course.
