i did my trailer test last week, the test went perfect (in my eyes) and like the examiner said it was a text book test. But i failed due to 1 serious mistake. Its was on a small roundabout on approaching the roundabout there was nothering on it so, a quick look in the mirrors, and on i went, as i looked in the mirrors to indicate out left i noticed a black car behind me. Apparently the rules are that no car should have to apply the brakes because of my trailer, still not sure what i could have done better as i was on the roundabout before the black car? ohwell... i asked the examiner how i could inprove and his answer was bad traffic! good luck

If the towing vehicle is older then 2003 then you can use any trailer, if its newer then 2003 then a box trailer has to be used I failed my test first time round stupid things speeding, hesitation at a roundabout (I did argue this as it was a 18ft trailer behind a LR 130) but then passed in a Nissan Almera with a single axel trailer behind.

Hi all,

Has anyone done this recently? I've heard it's really hard to pass haha.

I only have a standard post 1997 licence and I would like to add B+E towing licence to it to enhance my opportunities. If anyone has any experience or passed the test recently feel free to share!

Also if anyone knows of any cost effective training providers in the East Midlands that would be great, I've tried google but someone always knows somewhere cheaper!

Thanks

Max

We put one of our lads though with a company in Nottingham a few months back, allot cheaper then some other firms and crammed into two days including test (which is good as an employer)

Contact Us - John W Smithurst - LGV Training and Tuition - Nottingham, Derby - Tel: 0115 9327 999

Plus you will be more employable to us.. Even better if you could do the C1+E..
