As above in the process of updating the old site, suggestions always welcome.

Its not finished as we have some really cool unseen before stuff being added but it will take awhile to gather all the data needed.

on tree reduction it reads all manor of obstacles should be all manner!

also on hedge cutting it reads the leafes it should be leaves! also you may want the pic on this to be of a hedge not a chap in a tree

just being picky but it all counts in possible customers eyes

i know youve just updated it but also try and ask a few more previous customers for their feedback its a wee bit boring looking at the same bit on nearly every page!

A generic problem with putting 'News' on a website is that it quickly isn't news so unless you are prepared to maintain two news boxes with interesting, topical and timely info I would think again. To be honest they appear to be more to serve SEO than your customers - 'Why it’s best to use professionals when cutting back trees in Essex' a tad blatant don't you think?

Doing it for the benefit of your customers is a worthy cause which, in turn, will benefit your business in the best possible way.

I personally feel that such thinly veiled coding of websites for SEO at the expense of both the above sends the wrong message to customers.

If you think such a cunning plan will outsmart google in the long run then you will be disappointed and it can cause harm if the algorithms decide you are cheating - a website which has got a black spot from google is more or less scrap. For a variety of reasons another thing disliked by google is spelling mistakes. Better to wait and get it right rather than rush it, get a low ranking and then try and recover.

By all means try and dabble in the black arts but my advice would be that well written focused text specifically about your services will always prevail in the end - benefiting your business for the long term!

Here is an example for all to ponder....

Local business trundling along with 6 month old website getting a consistent 25 hits per day most of which were new customers. Bloke down the pub told him all about SEO. See if you can guess when google decided there was a nasty smell. FYI the website was reinstated to the original code to no avail. Judge, Jury and Executioner.

Be careful out there! :001_smile:

It is for customer benefit and of course i aim for my target audience why would i want people searching in another county for information on a service i cant provide for them ?.

Im very happy with my analytics i rank nicely and i have been through several google updates and remain consistent :). There is nothing black about creating blogs which target my local customers and inform them of information that will be of use to them, but you have your opinion and i accept what you think.

Do you have a website i may have a look at ?.
