Looking forward, will these saws be upto doing carvings?

MS260 and 201T?

Can anyone recommend saws they use, hints or tips as to what bars I could use on the above etc?

Only looking at mushrooms/basic stuff until I can pick up the skills.

Any help appreciated (new to the art)

Both will be fine mate.

If these are your work saws you may want to think about purchasing another when you get into detailing work with a carving bar, as you will need to change to a 1/4 pitch chain with 1/4 pitch sprocket. You won't need the above for mushrooms but just something to think about when you get there. Have fun!!

Funny!

Just starting up and don't want to shell out a fortune on kit, so was just asking opinions on using the saws I already have.

I use a top handle for most of my cutting (apart from big stuff obviously). I just find them easy to handle in a tree and on the ground. :001_tt2:
