Hello all,

after finishing my degree just over a year ago now I have decided that I want to revert back to my original plan in life... forestry/tree surgeon.

I have been looking into courses and I am confident that I could do well on them. However I am lost on how to approach work?

Do I gain the cs30/31 first and then go to employers or do I get the ticket first and then approach?

And once employed are tickets discounted through work or is it something that I'd do off my own back?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Well you have said the same thing twice as I read it . Get tickets and go to employers , gain cs 30.31 and go to employers ......?? Whatever I think option 1/2 is the way to go . If you fork out your self and are willing you stand more chance of getting a start than if you want someone else to stump up . Good luck whatever bud !

Pay for your first couple of courses then volunteer your services to gain experience

I went for an interview a number of years ago and saw the pile of cv's on the desk

I ended by saying I will work this Friday for free on trial

I started the following Monday and have had regular work there ever since
