On the plus side we gave a lad who is 45 a chance, only time he had used a saw was when he did his tickets, We paired him up with our most experinced cutter and after 2 days he was doing a fantastic job in hardwood thinnings, 6 weeks later he,s felling softwoods for saw logs and we can't fault his work.

This is the handy work of someone with a years experiance in forestry, why would anyone think this is ok:confused1:

 

only held my CS30/31 tickets a few weeks now but with great pride i take in my work.

nice, tidy but wot is going on with that stump under the chainsaw?

 

 

it was a dead pine tree and i gotta hold my hands up. yes i made the cuts too high, was a split level cut as i felled it against its leaning direction. so i just nipped it down when i was done :blushing:
