once again im doing a project at college and im in need of some assistance/guidance

the module is tree planting and we are now onto the theory side of things.

anyone know of any websites or info on bare root planting and staking ?

NC is the National Certificate I think?

Go to your library & tell them you need an athens acount to view bs standards then download BS4043 & BS3936 They are the standards for planting root balled trees & nursery stock, there might be one for bare root somewhere but i cant find it. An athens acount is invaluable( bs standards can usualy cost £80 ea!)

Beware of google & wikipedia though! good luck

Tbh, in an age when kids dont know where milk comes from, I think I can see why the question needs answering. Education has to start somewhere, and suit all levels.

Your college should give you an Athens account, speak to your lecturer.

What college are you at?

For general forestry , have a look at FC publications, your college library shoud have them, There is a Buletin/handbook on planting, if I can find my copy I'll let you know the full title etc.
