I don't know Joe at all, just Richard - re-wired the saw home sensor in my head 2 days ago - bless him he drove a flippin' long way to get me going. Was bending bars like they were going out of fashion. Rich said Joe had a HSM forwarder...

Oh right that's alright then, is it all working alright now? He drives miles a week. I saw him Monday night at the yard and he said he had a few places to go and won't be home till Sunday, he is in Wales somewhere tonight.

I've recently added to my geriatric fleet of forwarders with purchase of an Osa 250. Only had it a day so plenty of time for disaster to rear it's head but so far so good and it seems reasonable enough nick given age and price.

I'm going to give it service next week so will lift the cab, I'm bit wary of this given all the electrics but needs done. Is there anything I should be especially cautious with when doing this and also check while it's tilted?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Does this Richard chap travel the UK doing electrics on forestry machines? If osa turns out mechanically sound I'd consider giving it a full rewire, difficult getting auto electrician with right knowledge and attitude for a machine like this though.

Funny you should say this because the first forwarder he drove was a OSA 250 and he loves them so much he has just brought a right old scrapper to fix up and get it working again. He would probably love to work on yours and yes he drives all over Britain.
