Still undecided, shall i turn this 678f back to a forwarder or buy a hydraulic pump and use it as a harvester again.Would swap the keto 51ld head for a stroke delimber or a good forwarding trailer with crane. Do i need another forwarder?

Depends on what you're cutting and volume thereof. I take it from the desire for a stroke head you want to be cutting hardwood too? I'd have thought you could run a Keto 100 on that tho?

If you're decking big volumes you'd want to acquire a more productive harvester I'd reckon and then you'd need two bruunetts!

I'll get some photos once she's in the woods where she belongs! Hopefully parts shouldn't be a problem, guys at gremo seem real keen to help out. She's got her work cut out to work alongside the valmet 8400 roof mount!

The gremo at work, what an impressive machine for something of this age !!

What length can you get on it i.e. what are the bay lengths? Fantastic buy, bet you're well happy.

Was plugging through deep mud in the bruunett today, fully loaded uphill; that international 574 engine is an absolute gem - it just grunts its way through with a lovely sound

Looks a tidy enough machine, hope it gives you good service. I was watching it on ebay myself and if didn't have couple of old forwarders already I would have been tempted.

Hi TCD, the 678 is going, sold the head to a guy in Slovakia he,s picking it up on Friday and the base machine is going in part ex on the Bumble Bee Osa 250, so a weeks time will be running a 578f and Osa 250.

Kool another 0sa 250, if you need any info I have some, got a manual etc. We are having the crane rebuilt at the moment ready to go back on some bogs. looking at band tracks as well, like proper flotation ones

TCD, we,ve got 2 really good handcutters, so we have no need of a harvester at the moment. But things change!

LOGROVER, does your Osa 250 have difflocks? a guy on another forum told me that Osa 250's don't have difflocks. I can,t believe that a forest machine would not have difflocks.
