climbing irons/spikes, best to use ?

i need some climbing spikes, i like the look of the stein stuff and the stein spikes are a good price, but which are the most comfortable and easy to use?

i guess replacement spike cost is a factor.

I've got the ally geckos and I can't fault them, hardly even know your wearing them

I know nothing of the Stein spikes if it was me I'd wouldn't buy stein but maybe I am a gear snob.

 

I'd second the Geckos I have the carbon fibre ones I'd reccomend the Ali ones though.

great, ok, leather or velcro foot straps ?

I use bashlins with Velcro top straps, don't worry about the replacing the gaffs they take years to wear out, cost of straps is worth considering though

Carbon fibre with Velcro top and buckle bottoms!

Ali gecko with Velcro can not fault them, Iv had the carbon fiber but broke them :-(
