Thanks for all the info on the SpiderJack! I think I will get one next year- or do you see any disadvantages with going from a frictionhitch straight to this device?

 

Also wonder if anyone uses the positioner on their wirecore fliplines, if so how do you like it?

Climbing on a spider jack or lockjack is a whole new world. Approach with caution and start low and slow.

 

the positioner will not work with a cable core flip line.

Thanks for that!

I know the Sherrill catalogue says the positioner doesn´t work with a wirecore flipline, but I´ve heard from the others that it does and there are a cam, type S, made for wirecore fliplines, but it should work just fine with the original one. The S-type just grabs a little deeper after what I´ve been told.

 

So if no one uses it on a wirecore flipline, does anyone use it on a rope flipline. and how does that work? Is it a good device- worth the money?
