Some councils want you to use the PTO application form to notify for CA works, they can't make you use the form (they often say they can) but its sometimes less hassle just using the form BUT, you only need to fill in the parts of the form that are relevant for a CA notification, IE the address, description and a plan if the location of the trees is not obvious.

 

Don't let them start getting you to include a report on the trees condition etc.

It still amazes me how little knowledge of the planning system some contractors actually have. (and some planning staff too be truthful).

 

Ain't that the truth! I recently did an outline planning application for a building and the planning officers kept banging on about the window style and lettering on the shop fronts.... IT'S A BLOODY OUTLINE APPLICATION FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!:banghead::banghead::001_rolleyes:
