that ant no good if there is no manual for it coz the thing dose not exist

It now reving up and reving down and cutting out

A course like CS30 or similar would give you a good understanding of the basics of how a chainsaw works and how to fix the more common problems. You don't need a manual for most of that. :001_smile:

no money for any little course

i was hoping that someone had some logs they wanted chopping that could be done with me and the saw but i dont think so

when I cut through a log half way the chain stops and the engine dies at full revs all the time

How do you clean the carb out?

went to lawnmover shop today and he has given me a link the the manual for my saw but link dose not work

Remove the carb take it apart carefully and clean it out carefully with cleaners. Also gives the chance to give it the once over.

If your not sure or mechanically minded best to let someone else do the dirty work. If the saw is worth anything to you. (I say to you as most will say its not but if its your only saw then its worth some thing to you)

Well I undid the screw that held the top plate in and saw a flat surface with lots of little holes

one hole had sawdust in cleaned it out and did not know what to do next so just put the top plate back on

I was expecting to find some kind of plunger kit under that plate but nothing except a blanker with holes

The dam thing is so small I might just take it off any way

Cant rely brake it as it dont rely work any way but I know nothing about petrol engines

I have found someone that sold that same saw on ebay but with out a modal number

looks like they where having the same probs

please see the link

If that is the same saw as yours it is a performance power PWR33CCCSA (label on saw in picture on ebay listing) sold by B&Q, best of luck getting parts!

From the model number I'd guess it's 33cc, new one from B&Q is 37cc and £99.99 so not worth spending too much on yours, would have thought a good secondhand Stihl or Husky is a better use of money.

i am sorry it not the saw I thought a zip saw tag means something different to me.

I did look at the link and well it looks like the saws that are sold at the DIY stores stateside and really unless your desperate to fix it then I'd say it will cost you more than it worth and the saws I know well the only way to get spare parts is from other saws that ain't working as the spares for them are like hens teeth

I have taken the carb off and undone the 4 screws that hold the plunger plate on

taken the plunger out and not a lot of muck

in the photo below you can see the carb where the plunger sits on

there is one screw a rod sat on the plunger pivit, a few other things

what do I do next?

That's called a metering arm. A pig if you remove the screw as it has a very small spring. For now just check it moves pulling the plunger part and it goes back down on its own.

Also hold the black gasket piece up to some light and check no holes in it.

Next is the other side of carb. Depending s on the setup of carb depends what's there, should get down to the metal of the carb, there are holes and channels, should be a guaze filter in the holes, would be the other side of the plunger parts on the carb. This could need a clean.
