The Sidewinder way.

Used mine a bit. I found that it can be a disadvantage. Picture this scenario. You do a leap of faith and hold on with one hand to the part of the tree you want to get to. With a normal strop, you can find it with your free hand then attach yourself. With the sidewinder it takes two hands (in my experience) to get the required length out. It stores away quite neatly but doesn't leave enough dangling out for a quick and easy strop in. I suppose you could open it up and take it off the coil a bit, but you might as well have a normal strop for that.

I know exactly what you mean and it's very annoying.

I solve that by pulling some lanyard out before I make the 'leap of faith'.

Hi, really fancy getting one, but have just bought an art positioner so don't need the cynch, has anyone managed to buy the sidewinder on its own?

Anyone using with the positioner?

Sam contact Tony Darbyshire, he ships them over from treestuff without a cinch or positioner. He uses his with a positioner to so he can tell you about it.

I've always used mine with a Cinch but feel a Positioner will be an improvement, for me anyway.

Not used the positioner with the sidewinder but I've seen Tonys in action and it looks good. I also think the zillion would be good, if it didn't have the risk of cracking I'd probably buy one
