Hi, ive got a predator grinder that i need to order some new belts for due to burning them old ones out! it has been converted to v belts and it currently has spa 2282 on it but you can also get xpa belts that are cogged.

which are better spa or xpa and does anyone recommend a decent brand of belt as i would rather pay a bit more and get something thats going to last.

Many thanks Simon

gates are good belts fenner also toothed belts i think are better if its small dia pulleys as they dont heat up as much and they have more surface area to shift the heat speak to your local bearing supplier they will help you out:thumbup:

This is an interesting post as I recently sold a P26 with modified V belts being told that this had cured the problem but obviously not. This is a good reason to consider beltless grinders (the way forward) also oil cooler fitted as std.
