High mileage Iveco ok?

Evening Guys,

Have just missed the best of the fleet and am left looking at one on a '55 plate but 155k miles.

Is this mileage a problem on a 35c14 crew cab tipper (ex-council)?

I could go for the other one (70k miles) but don't have the funds.

Regards,

Steve.

i have two 35c12 iveco tippers 04 plate at 80k ex hire and 55 plate at 60k ex council. some parts are costly (the turbo boost pipe from the intercooler to the turbo- short bit of rubber is £120+vat and thats non genuine). only bought them as they go better and look better that our older ldvs.

look out for heavy duty springs as my 04 one hasnt got them and really shows the weight.

watch for the inside door handles they could snap off if not in regular use.

and aluminum tipping brackets made by igimex snap too.

the igimex tipper body tipps the load of logs on to the tail lights.

if you got the truck cheap enough it would be ok have heard stories of a 35c12 doing 250k with no problems but one careful owner from new.

got my 55 plate in my opinion cheap, what is the price and condition of the truck?

Hi Graham,

Thanks for the reply. I only have photos at the moment and should be looking at it on Monday - it looks ok so far.

It's got a straight ram on a steel bed with what looks like ali sides.

He's asking £4k +VAT but i'm not paying that. There's one for £5k +VAT and it's got a couple of bits missing but it's only 70k miles.

If i had the extra i'd go for the lower mileage one. I want to get a few years out of it.

Regards,

Steve.

Hi Swinny,

They're the two i missed from Nick Murray in Manchester. They're both sold - a guy had one and then emailed him to say he'd take the other.

Good photos though. They were 99k and 126k on the clock.

Regards,

Steve.
