Van insurance

Been with the Coop for 19 years and even had my PL with them for 8 years, just rang to renew the policy and was told because of the ali sides on the tipper body were'nt standard, they could'nt provide cover.

who's told the insurance about body mods and still managed to get a decent quote and who was its from ?

Plus it would be handy if the chipper was covered but never has been in the past to my knowledge.

Have you tried the n.f.u? thats who i use and they seem to be ok. good on chippers too.

Over the years I've tried many insurers always with the same result, they don't insure aftermarket mods. Now I bought my truck as a chassis cab and had an ally chip box and tipper put on. NFU are the only company willing to insure it. Does beg the question, how many people drive uninsured due to non disclosure of after market mods

the co-op lost business from me when i first started as they wouldn't let me hire in a woodchipper due to the risk of it catching fire:confused1: so i went to NFU and when the van insurance came up for renewal went with nfu as they gave me a better deal covering tools in the van etc.

Trust 01604 492644 I can't speak highly enough about them, shame I can't say that about NFU, utter waste of time in my experience.

Got my PL with them and found Cam to be a top chap so Ill give them a bell.

got my timber lorry with trust and pickup with nfu and pl with tree surgeon insurance, they are all really good to deal with

Spent 15 mins on the phone to a company that has been sending me texts for the last 2 weeks and they said they could'nt provide cover as its a tipper:confused1:.

 

I've gone with trust, they took 3 minutes to quote me and the cost was just a few quid more than I was paying Coop but the trailer is now covered, plus imo its reassuring that its with a company that understand the trade were in .
