I'm currently in talks with Active regarding a possible sponsorship deal to go over and work for them.

 

I know we have a huge amount of experience on here to draw from with people working in the industry from all over, can anyone provide any feedback on this particular company? maybe someone here has worked for them, or knows more about them and their reputation/what they are like as an employer etc.

 

any feedback would be great, Also I am still actively seeking other offers/opportunities in Australia so if anyone can recommend any other good employers that may be recruiting that would also be greatly appreciated.

 

on another note, can anyone confirm to me that ISA certified arborist is not recognised in Aus? any recommendations for other quals (further/theory type) that would be worth me looking into getting, that would hold value in Aus

Awesome, what stage you at? do you know where you are likely to be located?

I'm currently being assessed for the visa and have expressed preference for a position in NSW area but i'm not too fussy, they seem to be real keen on getting some people out to WA.

Very early stage mate, I found the most response from some firms in melbourne, sydney. Really like the look of western ozz aswell though..

ISA Certified Arborist is recognised all over Australia and good to have because they can relate to it more sometimes then English qualifications but if you work for a good company they will be able to look and see how English qualifications match up.

Have a couple of mates working for Active in South Australia. All they do is powerline work, reckon its pretty cruzey. Your just a number to them though as they employ so many.

WA is miles from anywhere mate and if you go to active there your stuck out in the bush. Stick to the East as you can travel to different states from there. What age are you as we can possibly offer employment. We are in Adelaide have 2 guys just arrived from Sydney and one from WA all uk lads and the WA one was with Active hence the reason I know it's bush work. We have 9 UK lads including myself some holiday visa, some 4year and others Permanent Residents. Their is tighter laws now with 457 visa's but send me a CV and some info to [email protected] if interested.
