I have it, got it through my financial advisor, You have to be careful, some have so many clauses in there policeys there not worth having. mine is quite expensive but its quite good aswell, for sickness they pay out after a month at 1200 quid untill i can return to work (this is pretty standard) i aint really bothered about that part but for accidents they pay out from day one until i can return to work AS A TREE SURGEON, some will say untill you can return to work, that could mean as a trolly colector for tescos! but mine is specific as a tree surgeon, (think to a max of 2 years) no hight restrictions either. i got it for the accident side really but like ALL insurance companys there there to make money and check every word before taking any think out.

We have the CICA policies cant remember the type of cover but its a fairly decent one.

 

As said before if you are self employed or dont get sick pay then it can worth it, off for 6 weeks or more without pay isnt much fun, especially when the DHSS or whatever its called couldnt give a monkey's about you.

Been considering this since my old man chopped his leg off in a combine back in September.

Surely EL and accident insurance arent the same thing.

My EL policy says it will pay out only if the employer is liable.
