Thought I'd share some pictures of turning timber washed down the rivers Ely & Taff which is then recovered from Cardiff Bay. Forty ton converted into firewood for Flatholm Island.

Do people actually live on Flatholm? I thought it was just a few dozen wild goats!

They have a warden and volunteers and you can even camp or rent a cottage out there for a few nights!

When I had a bit of an interest down there it was to be shredded and fed to the Welsh assembly boiler

well that brings back nightmares!!!!

I recognise those bags too

as for the rest of my comments, I could criticise their hypocrisy all day!!!:sneaky2:

You got to admit it looks good. Now looking at an all Wales combined service including ABP and a leading forestry service! Today the bay tomorrow the world, Saturday, first day off for ten days!!!

I meant wood that was recovered before the locks, it was to be shredded and fed to a 350kW boiler in the senedd building one of my coleagues sold them.

yeah, that was the promise, but it never happened:sneaky2:

all wood that came down the rivers into the bay was used to heat the environment building for the Harbour Authority, which spent as much time running on gas as it did running on wood chip

the senedd first ran on pellets, then went over to wood chip from another supplier, without even a mention to the people who were doing the H.A contract ( I have some knowlege on what happened there) but they made access so tight at the senedd only a transit could fit in
