Evening all, looks like I'm late to this party! I'm the chainsaw carver who's going to be working on this timber, very much looking forward to the challenge.

NPT did a really excellent job moving the timber given how much it weighed. Mendiplogs, we looked at getting in a shovel loader but none were available within time and budget restrictions. NPT put in a seriously long day of very hard work and I couldn't have asked for more. Cheers guys!

I'll start a thread over in chainsaw carving when I start work on it. It's going to be the focal point of a new memorial garden.

This will be worth seeing - there can't be many opportunities to get timber like this moved and positioned for carving.:001_smile:

Gareth, I've never seen anything like it before; really exciting but a lot of responsibility! Should be starting work next Monday so I'll let you guys know.

Mendiplogs, until I found NPT I was having the devil's own job getting hold of someone to move it. There's a quarry just down the road so I gave it serious consideration!
