brazillian rain forest

do not know if any one saw a programme during the week about the fire fighters in the brazilian rain forest guy from uk went over to work with them. the amount of forest fires burning most started to get rid of the trees to turn it into agriculture land. and due to the deforestation of the rain forest the rest is becoming dry now as humidity has dropped so it is catching fire more easy.

Yeah was a good program. Was impressed how well thoose beater things put the fire out just with one wack.

 

Interesting that the guy funding them was an american rancher who must of cleared alot of rainforest for the land for his own ranch but wanted to stop futher clearances in the area. :001_rolleyes:
