i am no tree hugger but its a shame they are getting felled, looks like they have been well managed. they can grow to a fair height:001_smile:

would be a shame to firewood them, but moneys money

At a huge reduction in price I would imagine, considering how fast it burns. Ive been giving it away for years or using it to stack my decent timber on to keep it off the ground.

 

im doing 3cube for £140, 3 cube of softwood £120, so not a huge reduction.

is that pp m3 for fire wood, t is a shame but a few need to come out to let the other ones grow and they are being replaced as part as a managed plantation.

ah, so some are getting left to become giants then. good stuff.:001_smile:

that will be nice felling. 046 with 25 inch bar me thinks, or a 036 with 18 inch. save lugging the big saw. just me wittering on out loud. good louck with the job mate

Well you seen the pictures it's a faily acient forest anyway but will help it improve in time, i've got the ms 660 with 36" bar will make light work of them.
