what amp do you use - when I played gigs I used marshall valve top and cab

 

Ive just got a 20watt marshall "valvestate" combo now

 

Ive always wanted a vox ac 30

 

Fender Hot Rod 1x12 all valve with a Fromel mod kit . Lovely reverb on it ...

Going to bed now as I'm an old git ! Been on this guitar thread , "Fake owl " thread and " What saw for cross cutting " thread . Fair wore me out .

Tim, 5 string basses have a low B string. Means you can go low baby. I play all sorts, funk, soul, blues, covers, I also do sessions. Its really useful having 4 extra low notes. I couldn't ever play a 4 string again :)

Yep, but not really my thing. First instrument was tuba when I was 9, then double bass at 11 as well as electric. Should never have given up the double, but an 11 year old kid carrying around a double bass is a funny site. I play guitar too.

yeh bit heavy for an 11yr old - must have have big hands at 11 to get round a double bass
