Good on you Jennie for doing this for a great charity. My Mum lost her fight with cancer just before Christmas, and its taken some good mates over the years to. I think the new 'Cancers turn to be scared' campaign is great, as is the race for life.

 

My Mrs is doing it this year, last year she climbed Kilimanjaro for Macmillan and she's off to Everest base camp on Saturday for the same charity. So all our spare pennies will be going that way, but just wanted to say well done to you, and as ever, good on everyone who has sponsored you - top bunch of people.

 

 

So sorry to hear that, it must have been so hard. it has taken some of our relatives unfourtunatly but no one as close. i agree the new campaign is such a fab idea, one of their best i think. blimey go her, i would love to run the marathon next year, i think thats a challenge enough. Good luck to her she's doing something fantastic. Yes they're all A-mazing, they've nearly doubled my target which is fantastic, it makes the running worthwhile thanks for the words of support.

Couple of quid from me - well done for posting. My mum almost died 8 years ago from cancer but is fine now (thanks to the NHS in Newport, IOW).

Well i ran 10k (6ish miles) today and didn't feel too bad afterwards looking foward to the race for life even more now. I would love it even more if you guys could help me to double my target money. A massive thankyou to everyone who has already sponsered me

Yeah i'm starting to realise it is kinda addictive i want to add a mile everytime i run. i have thought of that, theres a few near to me so i think i may be checking those out. thanks Geoff for your supportive words. x

Not long now, 2 weeks before i'm running i know you guys have been amazing in the sponsership but it would be fabulous if i could make it to £300 soo i'm asking once again, please please if you could spare just a few pounds for Cancer Research it will help to make a difference to so many people's lives and i'd truly appreciate it.
