Redwood at the kerb.

I'm felling a Coast Redwood in Reigate on the 28&29th.

Access is good for any vehicle. I don't want any of the timber.

 

It's twin stemmed from 5ft.

One stem has diameter of 3ft @ 7ft above ground.

 

Anyone want it and does it have a value?

Totally off the cuff here Al but if you're really stuck for losing it how about asking a farmer or two in the area if they need gateway barricades; large lumps of stem are popular for that. Still charge for the disposal of course because if that doesn't work you're going to have to fork out to get it shifted yourself.

Yep, Charlie's an unusual lump all right!

 

It's a good thought Al. He uses a local guy with a Mog and timber trailer/crane for transporting big stuff: the cost of that will knock any value in the wood but it would get it shifted.

Thanks Dave & Jon. I had called Rob The Mog first but he had a snapped hub (makes the eyes water!).

However it's fixed now so he'll be takin it to Charles.

I can see it now Al: Rob will rock up as planned on 29th with his Mog but with you suffering Mog Withdrawal Syndrome he'll get away some time in the middle of April

 

Good luck with the job. It'll be a landscape changer losing something that size.
