Was wondering roughly what's the going rate for hiring and mini digger, (2.5 tons)

£70.00/day for 3tonner sized machine

£60+ per day longer you have it cheaper it is i hire one for a week can get a 2 tonne kubota for £150. do not get it sometimes smaller the digger dearer to hire. so normaly get a 1.5 to 2 tonne machine more grunt so can do a lot more work than with a small one. there good the 0.8 o 1 tonne brigade if acess is tight.

i do not know if you have in plant insurance but a no of the plant people will not hire without it. the tool hire who can be dear do have insurance as extra if it gets nicked.

so i go to the plant people to get good rates only cost me £90 for year for insurance. if using them a fair bit save yo money in the long term
