Yes ive got one. Love it, its lighter than the sthils and its been dropped a few times with no problems at all

how does it cut on say an 18" diameter stem with a 12" bar compared to a 200t?

We think as a back up saw to a 200T etc... the price is good for when your recoil rope breaks, drops out of a tree, or just having an off day and refuses to start.

It looks like the Shindaiwa?? If so, that is amazing value. Like you said as a back up saw. I want one.

We've sold quite a few no common faults as yet.

One guy brought one back and said all the recoil screws had come loose on their own and that it was flooding. All the recoil screws had been cross threaded but he had not done it.

We sorted it under warranty guy was over the moon.

Mine cuts through stuff with the greatest of ease. Upto 18" no problems, tend to use it more than my ground saw

Have you tried a Husqvarna T425? Small and lightweight, 10" bar and 25.4cc. Full retail - £379-99, but you won't pay that much at a dealer. (Its a Zenoah in Husky clothing).

hmmmm thats interesting.....i had a komatsu hedge cutter, i bought it at a car boot last for £70 second hand...wouldnt normally buy thats ort of thing used but at that time i was doing a lot of road work and wanted something for bramble bashing. turned out to be one of the best hedge cutters i ever had and it took some serious abuse. id be interested to see if their chainsaws are as good

zenoah saws (sold as redmax in the US) are fairly good saws, solid and reliable. most of their own saws are based on old designs and tend to be a bit bulky, heavier and lower revving than their european counterparts.

 

their climbing saws are fairly lighweight and robust, but lack a bit of power in the cut. oleo-mac/efco climbing saws are re-badged zenoahs.

 

they were purchased by husqvarna a year or two ago, thus the husky/zenoah climber, and a couple of re-badged huskys in this years zenoah/redmax lineup (a red husky 570 is now the largest redmax saw)
