Hi we're looking ideally for an enthusiastic climber or grounds person for an immediate start for the right person. The climber must have all relevant climbing and chainsaw units and the grounds person needs chainsaw units for the ground and aerial rescue. Someone with experience in all aspects of tree surgery with driving license, capable of towing chipper.

I am currently working as a self employed contract climber to various different companies in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire mainly specializing in large sectional/rigging jobs and difficult reductions on large dead, dying and dangerous trees. I also advertise and undertake my own work managing my own workload and dealing with customers etc.

 

 

January 2011 – JUNE 2012 – B&B Tree Specialists

 

After recovering from my bike accident, I took a job as a climber at B&B where I gained masses of experience in my first role as solely a climber initially as a trainee. As an arboriculture assosiation accredited company with many large contracts, I worked to a very high standard. After being at the company for over a year and receiving no further training I paid for my own training to progress my career. I was then on occasion appointed as a team leader and was given larger and more difficult jobs to gain experience in a lead role.

• Wood chipping and brash clearance

• Tree felling and pruning

• Climbing -sectional felling and dismantling

• Stump grinding

• Tree planting and after care

• Team leader

 

This term of employment ended on my own accord due to my employer withholding pay

 

JUNE 2010 – OCTOBER 2010 – Oakwick Utility Arborists Ltd

 

After a term of being self-employed, I decided to take my passion for tree work a stage further and I took a job at Oakwick where I worked as utility arborist, during my time there I gained a lot of experience as a grounds man and further qualifications in arboriculture.

After completing my first stage of my City & Guilds NPTC’s, I became self employed as a partner with my father in our garden landscape business, Terra Firma & Beyond.

Running my own business has given me a wealth of skills, whilst achieving personal goals, looking after my customers and dealing with business on many levels, my people skills are very good.

 

2007 – Parts Person, H & L Garages Ltd – Mercedes Benz

 

I joined H & L Garages as parts person in their parts department.

 

Responsibilities:

• Keeping the parts department running smoothly

• Ordering of stock and stock taking

• Serving customers

• Good all round knowledge of parts

• Delivering parts between company branches

After being made redundant I went on to work for T. Ruck Agricultural Labour Suppliers as a line feeder.

From leaving school in 2004, I started work for Mercedes Benz of Boston as an apprentice Panel Beater and attended the Lincoln College; during my time there I was commendated for quality of workmanship at College and in the workplace. Unfortunately I was then made redundant in November 2004.

 

Responsibilities:

• Repairing and Reassembling cars

• Moving and organizing vehicles around the body shop

• Attending college on a weekly basis to achieve NVQ’s
