The dates will be the 9th and 10th of May, unless the weather is terible in which case we'll do the 16th and 17th. Gustharts have confirmed that they will send a guy on the saturday so if you want a particular harness or piece of gear to try please contact them and let them know what you'd like.

Hey all,

 

first up it was good to bump into you Tom and put a face to the name.

 

I won't be able to make Saturday the 9th during the day. i promised my girlfriend i'd take some pictures at her running club race in Penicuik.

 

I said i'd do a mini splicing workshop. i can't go into too much detail due to time constraints. i can show folk how to splice 3 strand (a very uselful skill) and how to splice tenex and make whoopie slings. both require very little specialised tools. if folks want to buy some 12 strand hollow braid rope (tenex, yalex) and some 3 strand you can take some useful rope tool home. i'f anyone wants to make a whoopie tell me how long (in a PM) and i'll tell you how much rope to buy and what gear you'll need to make it.

OK Things are coming allong nicely, Here are some directions that you can print off.

 

Also if anyone has problems either with transport or with accomodation ie. tent etc please post it here that way someone else may see see it and be in a position to help.

 

BTW I have given up sleeping on the floor and bought one of these:

A lot cheaper than a tent and probably comfier too.
