When you're ready and you really want to it's not as hard as you think.

^^This is very true. Once you get through the next couple of weeks you are homesailing. Have quit a few times mysef haha but back on the rollies at the moment. Might be time to stop again soon though

Well so far so good no urges to rip any heads of yet just want to notice a difference with not being out breath while climbing

I smoked from from around '81 worked my way through Marlboro, right through weed up to about 30-40 Drum rollies a day. I quit on 13/11/11 and have had two ore three revolting stinky drags since. Still miss it though, sometimes really badly. And I also don't know where the extra money went and couldn't afford to start again!

Good luck with it. (Patches and gum here btw)

I have given up for 7 years and find the smell sickening now, especially when a smoker walks into my house and the stench on their clothes makes me realize what I smelt like when smoking. I just stopped after taking a mate to hospital who was having a heart attack, while in the heart and lung ward I seen all these guys with stitching on their chests, black and blue, awfull sight. that made my mind up their and then.

Good luck to you, the longer you go without the easier it will be. :thumbup1:

I quit in 2002 I smoked for 7 years quiet heavily I found the easiet way to quit was to stay away from the people who smoked around me I just stopped like that after about two weeks I was ok to be around them whilst they smoked everyone was offering me cigarettes when I took a break at work that's the hardest part, just kept saying no thanks its best thing I ever done cant stand the smell of it either now.Good luck with it once you get past that certain point you know you will be good your lungs repair theirselves pretty quickly so I was told by a friend who is a paramedic so your doing the right thing:thumbup1:
