Arran, if you're not interested in it being retrievable, do you mind me asking whats wrong with a strap, a krab, and a pulley?

Its what I've been using while I've been saving up for a pinto rig and learning to splice tenex. (a member on here kindly did the tricky splicing work for me).

New set up

this works lovelyyy, adjustable length of where the pulley is is brilliant, was doing a euc reduction, which had alot of height come out of it, removed all the height expect from the stem which my anchor was on, had the pinto on a fairly long tail of rope which allowed the pulley to follow me around the tree thus being frictionless. made me want to touch myself it was so smooth...!

Doesn't look like it does retrieve mate.

I've just switched from a cambium saver to a pulley/strap as an anchor point. It isn't retrievable, like arran's, but I love how I can just pull my vt and drop like a stone. (Its still novel to me:biggrin:).

I still don't quite understand all that effort for a pulley anchor that isn't retrievable though...

Ok, getting a BIT weird now... :001_huh::laugh1:

How does it retrieve with that funny fishermans arrangement on the pinto....?

Nothing weird there my friend :blushing: the pinto pulley is truly astonishing as an anchor

didnt, just shot back up and got it :001_smile: got to get fit somehow :001_smile:

I think i will be more inclined to go up and retrieve it when ive got a proper spliced pulley saver as they sound like a pain to retrieve from the ground

it just makes the position of the pulley adjustable which is handy for myself. No real effort just a running bowline. Making it wasnt a effort just bits of rope and cord that i had sitting about

Fair enough matey, I wonder if the pinto is noticeably smoother than the ISC micro I'm using temporarily. I think it was about a tenner, and I use a length or friction cord as a sling. Currently waiting to buy the rigging pinto (slightly larger) then I'll attempt to splice tenex to it and fit it to the rest of my spliced pulleysaver!

Have you noticed yourself burning through hitch cord a helluva lot faster? I have :blushing:
