'Microsoft' scam.

They caught my old man just a couple of weeks ago. They even got him to agree to allow them to connect to his PC remotely, and ran god knows what on his computer, which I can only imagine trawls through looking for any information stored on there. Luckily my parents are not tech savvy enough to do any banking or financial stuff, and rarely buy anything online, so I (and they) can only hope they have'nt lost any sensitive information.

What angered me more than anything was to see the pain in my dad's face when I explained to him it was a scam, and the extreme discomfort it caused him knowing that he had been duped.

I would'nt like to see the people who do this put against a wall and shot. Thats far to quick. I'd nail them to a wall and leave them to die slowly and painfully from thirst & hunger.

I got one of these calls today, but had a meeting going on so couldn't waste their time this time. I just told him he was a liar and never call again. Another time while injured (off work) I spoke to an Indian guy who was having a bit of chit-chat with me about tennis and whatever crap was on TV. He asked about the weather here and I asked "How hot is it where you are?" he stuttered a wee bit before admitting he was in Dheli, 40 degrees. 45 mins later he hung up...

I hate call centers full stop no reason for any of them to be calling me so as soon as I get a call I do the whole ...um I am sorry I cant hear you hello, hello ,hello ?sorry if theres somebody there it must be a bad line I cant hear you ...and basically you find after a few minutes they soon realise your wasting their time and they hang up and don't bother again most people know my mobile and if its important they will either ring msg or send a letter or e mail :) nothing worse than scammers though I registered all my elderly relatives with the tps service but they still get the odd calls I just tell them to hang up on them and don't give any info over the phone

I hate them with a passion, my wife had the microsoft one at home and nearly got taken in by it, it was only because she phoned me on her mobile at the same time that she avoided it.

I get a lot of no win merchants, my pet hate.

I had one last night, APM advice [if they call let me know and I'll give you ALL their details!.... in a scouse accent 'I'm calling about the accident you had in 2011'.... 'SH*T! I had an accident?!?! WAS I OK?????....... Don't EVER phone me a again.....'
