Stihl MS230c No fuel

Hi all

I have a MS230c Stihl chainsaw which is about 3years old and to date has run well with no problems. Last week it stopped as no fuel seemed to reach the carb and the plastic push bulb does not draw any fuel from the tank. Have checked the tan filter and pipe and are both OK. Any suggestions as what to check next as I don't want to damage anything?

If the lines are all good with no cracks or holes then clean the carb. The gauze filter may be blocked up.

 

Or the tank vent may be blocked. Loosen the fuel cap and try the bulb again.

I know its stupid, but is there any fuel in? ive built a saw before and pulled and pulled to try and get it to start and then realised i had not put any fuel in.

Sounds like gauze filter in carb as Rich said.
