Cant remember if I've mentioned this before so if I have sorry :blushing:

Yonks ago when I got a tach I tried it out on all the saws. all were running fairly spot on except for one of the MS200T's. This one had a top end RPM of 15,000. 1,000 higher than it should of been (totally standard saw) it had limiter caps on the carb and hadnt been messed with at all, but I cant open up the H jet to lower the RPM without removing the cap, which I CBA to do at the time and completely forgot about it until the other day when I unearthed the tach from a pile of junk and tried it again.

Now I was wondering if anyone else has a tach and found the same with there MS200T's?

Since I have noticed a few peeps say that there 200's are great out of the box but dont run as good after about 12 months, I have also came across 4 200's that have had scored pistons and cylinders and I dont remember any of the of our old 020 doing this.

Anyhow just a thought and worth a check if your saw is a bit of a screamer :001_smile:

my last three have gone that way, i seems to be shite blocking the fins between lower side & muffler causing over heating then the damage accurs.

I thought that a while back but I've never had it happen to an 020(have a pot from one on a 200T) and apart from the port design I think the cooling fins are the same.

Maybe its a bit of everything, running higher rpm, ruinning leaner and not cooling properly.

Come on fellas someone else must have a tach!! :001_smile:
