Same story here ... Drunk on whisky at the age of 18. Didnt go near it until I was 45 !! I now head north every year for as many days as I can and sample as many single malts as possible. I am not a smokey/peaty fan and I decided I wasnt keen on the superstition... took the whole bottle to make sure !! Last years trip to Perthshire introduced me to the very sweet Edradour 12 yo ... I do not believe I will ever find anything better... but I will keep trying !!

Haha... That was my first impression, but you have to have a cheap fall back drink for if your out with the lads and buying rounds. You can't be making them pay for the premium stuff (-;

 

My cheap fall back is glenmorangie original and that I only drink when times are hard lol
