ok spud i need a switch for a glow plug tester round momentary type

4 terminals 1 set n/c 1 set n/o 8 amp 12v any ideas?

Mmm, a photo is always good - am I thinking that the N/C set become open and the N/Oset become closed on switching the switch on? Does the switch lock in the "on" position

Is it a rocker, toggle or plunger type switch?

RS is a damn good place to start to spec any switch - you can usually get enough of the part number off the switch to get you started!

Has the connection part of the switch got some of the contacts missing as it could be a DPDT switch with the N/O connection on the first pole missing and the N/C connection missing on the second pole?

Anyone following this:001_rolleyes::lol:

He did ask!

Anyway, a DPDT switch modified will work, just need to buy one that will fit, has the correct current/voltage rating and then nip off the unwanted contacts - RS Components are best although Maplin may do something suitable!
