not happened to me but find these biners are the easiest ones for the barrels to twist open when rubbed against something.... looked at them a few times and thought thats not good.

Keep em well oiled especially in wet I don't like graphite as it always seems to not work as well as oil in the wet dirt crap etc.

 

Only ever had problems with carrabiners when not regularly oiled gate sticks spring pops out, had all of these problems arise from lack of maintenance

 

How do you service yours do you lot use graphite or anyone use trusty old wd40?

the biner that failed for my friend was one day old!! nothing to do with maintenence.
