i thinking of getting a stihl 341 on a 16" bar to replace my 357.

only had the 357 since january but i dont particually like it.

just wondered what you thought.

i have a 341 and i love it....you must drop down to 3.25 pitch though or its a very sluggish saw. your dealer should supply it with 3.25 if you request it

I've never had a 341, I want something of this size though and would probably go for it. I have used a 357 for 18 months and hate the thing with a passion.

so if i were to have a .325 bar and chain fitted it would run a lot better? anything else need chainging or is it just the chain pitch?

You need the right sprocket for that bar/chain combo as well.

I'v always liked the 361, but I'v never used the 341 to compare the two.

i couldnt see much difference between the 361 ad 341, obviously there is something, but im not sure what

Basically the same saw, slightly more power and weight.

you need to change the sprocket too....i run a 9 tooth sprocket on mine and it flys

i think there is about £150 in it , may not be that much, i just couldnt see any point in getting a more exspencive saw which appears to have the same power as the cheaper model.

Theres £100, 0.4 bhp, and 0.1 kg in it.

Depends what kind of a deal you can get from your local dealer really.
