Hi all I'm after a splitter for my own use only and was just looking

Looks good to mefor the money, and i would expect you could acieve a reasonable reasale on it if it wasnt up to scratch. If you do decide to go for it, i would appreciate a review, as ill be interested my self in a few months.

I've got the same one and it's spot on. Bought it two years ago and not had any bother with it although I only split for myself and it's not working all winter. I run it off a power pack and it's good for me and capable of splitting big knotty lumps but would be faster on a tractor.

 

4 way knife is easily removed for knotty lumps but for clean stems it ideal and fast. I bridged the two handles with a bit of wood to make it one handed. All I would say is that I paid a couple of hundred less a few years ago and it was brand new but it could have been clearance stock. There's also another couple on ebay and one is yellow.

this one came down to £500 the one from ktm (yellow one)was £550 and I would have to go further to collect,I wanted to have a go doing one myself but if I spent my time doing what I do for aliving (pig arks etc.)I could get one made ready.

Only thing that I would find annoying on that is that the splitting table is a bit small

I should have asked,is there someone on here that sell a similar splitter? I would

be happy to support advetisers on here if they have any reasonably priced splitters.

I've got 2 Multec splitters, they're for sale on ebay.... i find them faultless.
